Supercross Circuit Games
Monster Energy Supercross is an officially licensed game that includes the riders and locales of the North American Supercross circuit as you race to take the championship. MTX Mototrax is undoubtedly one of the most underrated bike games. The career was superb, enabling you to sign up for the different bike manufacturers and brands as you progressed. Undoubtedly, the greatest draw for most was that you could ride around the compound that former motocross champion Travis Pastrana owns.
I found my ps1 and supercross circuit game the other day. Don't let nostalgia fool you, the game is garbage by todays standards.having said that, it was awesome at the time and by far the best sx/mx game on the market. The amount of tracks, gear, pros, sponsors, bikes, true series points, etc.also the track editor was a lot of fun.i also really liked MTX Mototrax. That game was so close to being great with the track editor, and the physics.
The stock tracks weren't the best but you could build some sweet ones. Wrote:i found my ps1 and supercross circuit game the other day. All true.Loved SX Circuit.Played MTX Mototrax with my kid the other day.
He loved riding at Pastranas house, jumping into the pool and foam pit. I bought SX Circuit like 6 months ago, its fun for awhile, but once you've played Alive or Unleashed, it's hard to let that nostalgia do much for more than an hour or so. Excitebike 64 is pretty damn good and challenging tho.Too bad the old MX games didn't make it to the next-gen consoles as much as the other surviving genres did. In the Playstation/N64 days, there was a thousand genres! Now there's racers, shooters, open world games and a few rpgs.
A complete consolidation of the market. No flight sims, no sports games that aren't football, soccer, basketball or baseball, just no variety. Unless you play on a PC, I guess, but who has time for that?

Wrote:I play Supercross Circuit, EA's Supercross 2000, EA Supercross 2001 and MTX all the time. Every week in fact. More than the newer games. The fact Supercross Circuit and EA's games had replica tracks and season modes make it superior to todays games which never really try to replicate the AMA series. My main issue with Circuit is its just too fast. I prefer EA's Supercross and EA Supercross 2000.All great games. Though. We def need new versions of these.
Not likely to happen, though.Wasnt' EA's SX 2000 on old looking bikes that were hard to turn? And then 2001 game was way way better. If I remember right, I used to use the clutch for power and jump half the track and the invisible sides of the track kept you in play.Good games, wish I would have kept them to play once a year for nostaglic reasons.
I still have MTX and SX Circuit at least for my ps2. Shame SX circuit never came out in the UK. Managed to play it years later by emulator but by then I guess it had aged so I couldn't appreciate how good it would have been at its time. I actually used to play the old RC games, then went onto SX 2001 by EA. That was my favorite game for some time until I played the older SX2000.
Would that horrible to turn at first but now its one of my favorite games. An't beat putting it on pro and running a full on season 20 laps with heats =) I'm tempted to do a 2014 update for the N64 version on emulator Shame you loose stadiums though =(Indeed its a shame EA supercross didn't continue, or MTX mototrax. Used to love those series for not taking the 'top 4 to progress to next race' like the rainbow mx atv games. Damn it patch reflex, improve the AI and let us come last and try and battle.
