It's just published by them, it's actually made by BattleGoat Studios. With that being said the game is pretty unintuitive to get into compared to Paradox games and I wouldn't even know where to begin to point you towards.

I know a handful of people on here play them though so you might be able to get some help.So yeah, I'm no help here but just don't judge Paradox games by Supreme Ruler because they're a completely different beast and you'll probably have more fun with the Paradox titles like Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Victoria or maybe Hearts of Iron but that's also a bit harder to get into.Oh and Hearts of Iron lets you play as the USSR. Ive played a lot of supreme ruler ultimate and let me summarize: Supreme Ruler is about combat. The combat and depth of combat is great. Mega mall story mod apk. Conquering the world feels amazing and if you are a military buff this game is awesome. But unlike paradox games, in SR everything exists to support war. Your economy and diplomacy exist for war.

There is almost no politics. Ive never had more fun invading a country in SR just because of how they handle the combat, and the variety of units, etc. But its all very shallow feeling. I get more lasting enjoyment and satisfaction out of CK2 or EU4.For example in SR I get all the fun out of invading shit. Theres nothing like sieging a capital by surrounding and bombing and doing airstrikes on enemy positions and other involved military matters.

But everything else sucks. I agree with Decptichum, I have never played SR, but it looks like a giant micromanagement simulator but without a lot of the nuance that some other games that have a lot of micromanagement offer. If you want to try Paradox Games, I'll tell you about the ones that I've played.Crusader Kings 2: This is one of my favorite games of all time. Not too much micromanagement of your troops but you will be nearly constantly managing your vassals, heirs, claims, and other things. I have played some games where I have done very little with the crusades (although those can be fun as well, even if your allies are idiots.) Lots to do, tons of replay value. There is a lot of DLC for this game, but I played it for about 50 hours before I bought my first DLC.Europa Universalis 4: This game takes place immediately after Crusader Kings 2's end date. This game is less about vassals and heirs (although heirs do factor in) and more about your nation as a whole.

In fact, your government can be toppled by a rebel faction and you will just start playing as whatever government type the rebels wanted. Trade plays a bigger part in this game, but it is only something you need to mess with from time to time. You can also colonize the New World (North and South America) as well as parts of Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Another awesome game, but remember, especially in your first few playthroughs, choose larger nations to start and watch that your aggressive expansion does not get too high.Victoria 2: This game is very involved and probably has the highest learning curve out of any of the Paradox titles I have played, but when you start doing well, it gives an immense feeling of accomplishment. There are a lot of options having to do with government types and trade. Personally, my favorite government type is reactionary because the people of your nation will sometimes still do useful things, but you can still do useful things as well when your population does not have the good sense to take advantage of a wide open market.Mount and Blade Warband: This game is published by Paradox but not made by them, and is very different from most of their other games. It is my favorite game to ride around on a horse and stab people.

Most Paradox games are grand strategy, meaning you spend the game looking at a map, charts, and other relevant data. M&B is more about using a sword (or other weapon) along side of an army under your command, killing, pillaging, sieging, and conquering. Hard to compare to other Paradox titles due to being so different, but lots of fun in its' own right.

Supreme Ruler Ultimate is a grand strategyvideo game developed by BattleGoat Studios. It is the fifth installment in the Supreme Ruler series and was released on October 17, 2014. The game is the sequel to Supreme Ruler 1936. It is essentially a compilation release, streamlining Supreme Ruler 2020, Supreme Ruler Cold War, and Supreme Ruler 1936 into one game, using the same UI as 1936, as well as adding additional features and gameplay.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

Supreme Ruler Ultimate generally operates as a real-time strategy game, but the player is able to pause the game and choose the game speed. In the game the player tries to control a country they have chosen. War is a dominant theme in the game with its military element played in battalion-sized units created by the player during the game. There is also a detailed economic aspect that records a large variety of statistics including under and over employment and natural resources. AI nations work on the same economy system as the player so for example if no one produces enough oil everybody will suffer.[2][3]

Players can choose from nearly any existing country as their starting region, and some sandboxes and scenarios feature sub-national divisions to choose from (such as US States or European ethnic regions).

Starting eras of the game sandboxes include:

  • 1936 - The Road to War
  • 1940 - Europe at War
  • 1941 - The World at War
  • 1949 - Cold War
  • 2017 / 2018 - Trump Rising
  • 2020 - Divided States
  • 2020 - Make America Great
  • 2020 - Shattered World
  • 2020 - World (Modern World)

Regions are controlled through a number of 'cabinet departments' consisting of:

  • State Department (Diplomacy)
  • Finance (Treasury / Spending)
  • Resources (Raw and Finished Goods Production and Markets)
  • Research (Technology)
  • Defense Production
  • Defense Deployment and Orders
