Mega Man X7 Longplay
The item list shows where all the special items are to be found and how they can help out X and Zero. The list includes the locations of the eight energy hearts in each of the main stages, the two energy tanks, the special weapon and EX tank, the several armor suits for X and the locations of the capsules, the robot ride carriers, X's secret Ultimate Armor and Zero's Black Armor.
Energy hearts will allow X and Zero to hold more energy, making them stronger and able to survive longer in battle. There are eight in total to find. Energy Tanks will allow X and Zero to store energy to be used during battle if their energy is low. They are important and very useful. There are two in total. The four armor suits will allow X to become much stronger and able to perform special abilities. The Robot Ride Armor can be used to aid X and Zero in certain stages.
The Sigma Virus | |
---|---|
Not really an item, but these Sigma Virus drones will appear in certain areas of each stage. If it hits you, your virus meter in the bottom left corner of the screen will change. Normal is when you're unaffected, Caution and Danger are warnings then Virus means your character has been infected. X will slowly lose health when infected, but Zero will become invincible (???). After some time the virus will wear off. |
The innovative new Double Gear system lets you boost Mega Man's speed and power for a new twist on the satisfying gameplay the series is known for. A variety of difficulty modes makes this the perfect opportunity to experience Mega Man for the first time! Although Mega Man X8 uses 3D graphics like Mega Man X7, the development team chose not to opt for 3D.
Captured Maverick Hunters | |
---|---|
These captured Maverick Hunters are scattered throughout certain stages and need your help. Touch them to help them get back to HQ. They'll restore part of your health when you save them and they'll also give you an extra life! Its definitely worth rescuing them. |
Energy hearts | |
---|---|
This first heart is found in Dark Dizzy's stage. In the second area with the pillars that reverse the roof and floor of the area, once you reach the fourth one, jump back into it so that the room reverses a second time. Keep going and you should see the heart visible up on a ledge. | |
The second heart is in The Skiver's stage. When you reach the large platform that rises up the tunnel leading to The Skiver's room, jump into the second large opening in the wall on the right and proceed down the hallway to find this heart in the corner. | |
The third heart is in Mattrex's stage. When you reach the area where the lava flies across the screen, consuming everything in its path, stand next to the hole in the floor and wait until the lava stops. Once it leaves, quickly jump down and head left. Drop down the hole in the far corner and quickly grab the heart to the right. Jump back up the wall as fast as you can and rush back to the right to avoid the lava. | |
The fourth heart is found in Grizzly Slash's stage. You'll need the Gaea Armor to reach this one. When you proceed through the larger truck near the center of the first area, you should notice that between two of the carriages you can climb up the side of the two. Climb up and jump onto the roof of the carriage on the right. Continue across the spikes and you'll eventually find this heart. | |
The fifth heart is found in Squid Adler's stage. You'll need the Gaea Armor to find this heart. Just before Squid Adler's room, you should notice that there is an electric lock and a door to the left of the final two locks guarding the door to Squid Adler's room. Open the single lock and jump up through the opening. You should now see three v-blocks stacked up on the right. Destroy two of them and dash into the third one to move it to the right. Keep pushing it until you come within firing reach of the lock on the right. Jump up and fire at the lock to eventually open the next door, then head into the small room to find the heart. | |
The sixth heart is in Izzy Glow's stage. Again, you'll need the Gaea Armor here. Right at the beginning of the stage, drop down the large hole with the bridge that you can shoot down. Land on the spikes below and head right to find the heart. | |
The seventh heart is in Duff McWhalen's stage. You will need the Falcon Armor to reach this one. When you beat the second part of the U-555 and enter the sunken ship, head over to the end of the area where the spikes line the wall on the right of the hole you need to drop down to continue the stage. At the top of the hole, you should see an opening in the roof. Jump up and hover into the opening and you'll enter a secret room. Head right to eventually find the heart. | |
The eighth heart is in Axle The Red's stage. You need the Gaea Armor to find this one. Just as you enter the area near the start of the stage where you need to climb up the green vines to proceed through the stage, you should notice at the base of the cliff a v-block. Destroy it and continue to the right. Once you reach three blocks stacked on top of each other, jump over them and push the block up on the ledge to the right so that it drops down into the hole in the ground below to straighten out the terrain. Jump down and fire back to the left to destroy the block under the ledge and the bottom block of the stack. Destroy the second one so only one block remains. Go to the left of the single block and push it to the right up to the edge of the hole. Use it to jump across to reach the ledge on the right that has the heart waiting on top. |
Energy Tanks | |
---|---|
The first energy tank is in Grizzly Slash's stage. Right at the front of the second auto-exploding truck, you should see the tank sitting below the nose of the truck. Quickly jump down to grab it and jump to the right before the truck blows. | |
The second energy tank is in Dark Dizzy's stage. You need the Falcon Armor to reach this, or the C-Sword with Zero. Right at the end of the first area with the moving platform, you'll see the tank in plain sight sitting up on a ledge. Hover up to reach it or double-jump to reach it. |
Weapon Tank | |
---|---|
The weapon tank is in the Skiver's stage. When you reach the area with the platform that slowly moves down the large tunnel, once it breaks through the third floor, jump down and grab the tank before the platform comes down. |
EX Tank | |
---|---|
The EX tank is in Izzy Glow's stage. Near the beginning of the stage just after the first two moving spike platforms, you should see the tank above the ceiling. You'll need to use the Ground Fire to destroy the wooden blocks above so that you can reach the tank. |
Robot Ride armor
Jet Bike/Ride Chaser |
---|
The Jet Bike is used only in Squid Adler's stage. X or Zero will be riding the bike for the first part of this stage. This vehicle can jump, fire an energy weapon and execute a devastating dash attack where a beam of energy from the bike's underside will destroy anything that touches it. A dash-jump can be made as well as being able to perform the dash attack once the bike jumps. This can also enable the bike to glide over large pits and holes. |
Raiden Armor |
---|
The Raiden Armor is found in Mattrex's stage. This carrier can walk through lava and can withstand many blows before it explodes. It has three forms of attacks, a standard drill-punch attack, a large swipe attack which deals out more damage, and a charge attack which can drill through most enemies. Hold fire to perform the drill attack. |
Falcon Armor parts
Boots Upgrade | Stage: Grizzly Slash |
---|---|
The Leg upgrade is found in Grizzly Slash's stage. Just after you enter the cave area after the trucks, you should see an opening in the roof. Jump up through here and you'll easily find this capsule. The leg part of the Falcon Armor will allow X to fly through the air, he'll also be invincible while flying, and can destroy any enemies that strike him. |
Helmet Upgrade | Stage: Squid Adler |
---|---|
The Helmet upgrade is found in Squid Adler's stage. At the start of the stage during the Jet Bike part, you'll need to grab all eight of the small energy balls, so that once you reach the end of the Jet Bike area, you can destroy the door that blocks the way to the room containing the capsule. You'll need a few tries to get all eight energy balls, they won't be easy to get, but with practice, you should eventually get them all. The helmet part will allow X to use less energy to fire his special weapons. |
X-Buster Upgrade | Stage: Izzy Glow |
---|---|
The X-Buster upgrade is found in Izzy Glow's stage. You need the C-Shot or C-Sword to find this one. Not long after you enter the area with the auto-defense systems, you should see an opening in the roof just above one of the purple energy barriers. Jump up the wall on the right and you'll see one of the large cannons to the left, blocking an opening. Destroy it and continue on to find the capsule. The X-Buster upgrade will give X a new and stronger charged shot, the blast can also fly through solid objects. |
Armor Upgrade | Stage: Duff McWhalen |
---|---|
The Armor upgrade is found in Duff McWhalen's stage. At the very end of the sunken ship area, you'll easily see the capsule hiding behind a wall. You'll need the Gel Shaver to reach it. Charge up the weapon, then release it. The large ice blocks will strike the small bomb next to the wall which will blow and take the wall with it, opening the way to the capsule. The armor upgrade will enhance X's defense power, effectively doubling his overall life energy. It will also allow X to use the Falcon Armor's Giga Attack, which can damage all enemies on-screen. |
Gaea Armor parts
Helmet Upgrade | Stage: Dark Dizzy |
---|---|
The Helmet upgrade is found in Dark Dizzy's stage. Right at the end of the stage just before Dark Dizzy's room, you'll notice a hold in the floor. Jump down to see the capsule. This one will be very difficult to reach, as you'll need to fire an F-Shot and direct it through the small tunnels to the room with the capsule. Once you get the shot through, direct it up to the blue wall to destroy it and open the way to the capsule. The helmet part of the Gaea Armor will allow X to move the special blocks with a 'V' printed on them by dashing into them. |
Armor Upgrade | Stage: The Skiver |
---|---|
The Armor upgrade is found in The Skiver's stage. You'll need the Falcon Armor to reach this one. Once you reach the open area with the platform that rises up to the right, jump up and fly straight up to eventually find the capsule sitting on a ledge. The armor part will enhance X's defense power and will allow X to perform the special Giga Attack which will damage enemies in front of X. |
X-Buster Upgrade | Stage: Mattrex |
---|---|
The X-Buster upgrade is found in Mattrex's stage. You'll need the Falcon Armor to reach this. Just below the final door to Mattrex's room to the right of the lava will be the capsule sitting in the corner of the room. Fly over to reach it. The X-Buster upgrade will allow X to fire off a special but weaker shot that can destroy the blocks with a 'V' on them. It will also allow X to grab onto a wall and hold tight instead of sliding down. |
Boots Upgrade | Stage: Axle The Red |
---|---|
The Boots upgrade is found in Axle The Red's stage. You need the Falcon Armor to reach this one. During the second area of the stage where you climb along the green pole above the large hole, you should eventually see an opening in the roof just before the end of the pole. Jump and fly up into the opening to find the capsule. The boots part will allow X to safely walk on any spike trap in the game without losing a life or sustaining damage. |
Special armor suits
Fourth Armor | |
---|---|
X will have the full armor from X4 available to use in X5. It will have all the same features as in X4, except the Nova Strike attack. The Fourth Armor can fire off the massive charged shot that leaves a plasma blast behind when it strikes an enemy to damage it further. X can also hover in the air for a few seconds, allowing him to dodge enemy fire and fly over dangerous areas. X can also perform the mid-air dash and can charge up special weapons. Note: If you choose Zero as your main character, X's Fourth Armor will be damaged during his battle with Sigma at the start of the game and you won't be able to use it during the rest of the game. |
Falcon Armor | |
---|---|
The four upgrades for the Falcon Armor are found in the first four Maverick stages in the game. You can only use the Falcon Armor once you find all four capsules. The Falcon Armor is very light and mobile, its main feature is its ability to allow X to fly in the air for a certain time. This can greatly help X to reach areas he normally can't go. While X is flying, he'll be invincible and can damage or destroy any enemies that strike him. The armor also gives X a smaller but much stronger charged X-Buster shot which can also fly through solid objects. X can also use the Falcon Armor's Giga Attack, which will release several energy bolts that will fly up and down the screen, damaging any enemies within range. The body part of the armor will also reduce the severity of damage X would normally receive. The only disadvantage is that X won't be able to charge any of his special weapons while using this armor. You might find that using this armor in the final stages of the game will greatly assist you beating the stages successfully. |
Gaea Armor | |
---|---|
The Gaea Armor capsules are found in the final four Maverick stages. This armor will allow X to walk on any spikes in the game without losing a life or taking damage. This can help him reach areas he couldn't normally go and to reach special items. The armor is heavy so X will move around a little slower than normal. The X-Buster will have a new shot which is slower and has a short firing limit to the normal X-Buster, but the shots are strong and can destroy the normally invincible black blocks with the 'V' printed on them. X can also move the blocks around by dashing into them. You will also be able to grab onto walls, and instead of sliding down, X will stay still. The Giga Attack will create a huge green ball in front of X that can severely damage or destroy any enemy within range. The disadvantage of this armor is that X won't be able to use any of his special weapons gained from defeated bosses. |
Ultimate Armor | ||
---|---|---|
X's Ultimate Armor can be found in the third final stage where you have to fight Zero/X or Maverick Zero depending on who you're using and if Zero is a Maverick or not. You'll need to use X without any of the special armor suits to actually see the capsule, otherwise it won't appear. Just before the last area with the huge hole and numerous floating platforms, you should see a narrow hole with a motionless platform hovering above. Jump down and slide down the right side of the hole, you'll eventually enter a secret room with the capsule. Once you receive the armor, you'll still have normal X, so you might want to try and fight Zero, but without any of the armor suits, X won't stand much of a chance, so you might want to lose all your lives so that you can get back to the stage selection screen. The Ultimate Armor will be just like the Fourth Armor, but you'll also have unlimited use of the invincible Nova Strike attack, which is VERY useful. You can also access X's Ultimate Armor by inputting a special code on the Player Select screen. This way you can have the Ultimate Armor for the entire game. While X is highlighted, press up twice, then down nine times. Wait a second after you input the code and you should hear a sound indicating that you got the code right. When you start the game X will have the Ultimate Armor. |
Zero's Black Armor | ||
---|---|---|
Zero's Black Armor can be found at the same location as X's Ultimate Armor. Enter the capsule and Zero will receive the black armor. This time, the armor will enhance his defense power, give him the purple Beam Saber which is much stronger than the green one and also give him three of the special parts which will always be equipped - Shot Eraser, Shock Buffer and Virus Buster. If you want to get both X's Ultimate Armor and Zero's Black Armor, use one character to get their armor first, then lose all your lives so that you can go back to the stage selection screen and re-enter the stage as the other character. You can also get Zero's Black Armor from the start of the game so that you can use it for the entire game. While Zero is highlighted on the Player Select screen, press down twice, then up nine times. You'll hear a sound indicating that you got the code right. Start the game and Zero will have the black armor. |
Ok, there is a lot here so I'll try to be brief: Mega Man 1:Fire → Bomb → Guts → Cut → Elec → IceAlternate: Guts → Cut → Elec → Ice → Fire → BombGuts Man's stage is sometimes difficult, but his AI is a lot easier on a fresh start, and does less damage. Ice Slasher is also nice to have in Fire Man's stage. Mega Man 2:Metal → Air → Crash → Bubble → Heat → Wood → Flash → QuickAlternate: Metal → Wood → Air → Bubble → Heat → Crash → Flash → QuickWeaknesses are wonky, as Metal Blade works excellently on Wood, Bubble, Flash, Quick, and Metal (hahahahahahahahaha). I recommend this route as Wood Man's stage is easy enough with Metal Blade, and Leaf Shield is nice to have for Crash Man's stage. Item 2 to take on Heat Man's stage to get Item 1. I like Crash before Flash just to make the stage easier. Mega Man 3:Top → Shadow → Spark → Magnet → Hard → Snake → Gemini → NeedleAlternate Magnet → Hard → Top → Shadow → Spark → Snake → Gemini → NeedleThere are actually two weakness loops: the first 5 are one loop while the last 3 are a separate loop.
Do try it out, you’ll enjoy it. The game offers the fully animated 3D world and highly detailed aircraft that increase the excitement of the match. It allows the player to choose his unique airplane and explore the beauty of the world. Dogfight 1942 game. Is a 3D, Open-World, Exploration and Single-player Simulation developed and published by IPACS.
I prefer Magnet Man earlier because Magnet Missile and Hard Knuckle are good weapons against large foes, and Top Spin is not so necessary early on. But do remember to abuse its knockback cancel (if you get shot in the air using Top Spin, you don't get knocked back and can continue your jump). There is a tendency for people to enter the Snake → Gemini → Needle → Snake loop via Snake. However, It is also very possible to enter via Gemini once you know you actually control him. For the first half of the fight while there are two copies of Gemini Man he only shoots when you press B, so you can adjust your jumps to never take a hit. For the second half of the fight Gemini Man jumps when you press B, so you can force him to jump when you want to slide under him, again never taking at hit. With this in mindGemini → Needle → Snakeis quite easy and allows you to fly over the final platform section of Snake.
Snake Man is a complete joke once you have Needle so if you're having trouble beating snake try this alternate. Mega Man 4:Pharaoh → Ring → Dust → Skull → Dive → Drill → Toad → BrightPharaoh Man makes a popular opening for an easy stage, access to Balloon, and a multi-directional chargeable weapon. Toad Man and Skull Man are also very easy AI, and popular openings to start the cycle. The only general notes are Ring Man is very mean as a start, and Drill Man's stage is easier with Pharaoh Shot or Skull Barrier.
Mega Man 5:Star → Gravity → Gyro Man → Crystal Man → Napalm Man → Stone Man → Charge Man → WaveGenerally an accepted pathway, as Star Man's AI is really easy and the barrier is nice for Crystal Man's stage. The AI for the first 8 is one of the easiest in the Classic Games, so there's a lot of variety you can take to this one. Mega Man 6:Plant Man → Tomahawk → Yamato → Knight → Centaur → Wind → Flame → BlizzardAlternate Flame → Knight → Blizzard → Plant Man → Tomahawk → Yamato → Centaur → WindThe first route is weakness order, while the alternate is divergent. Flame Man is a fairly easy stage with an easy boss. Plant Man is easier, but Flame Man gives you Power Adaptor. Consequently, use it to take out Knight Man (whose shield is worthless against it) and also not have to revisit the stage.
Knight Crusher is excellent against large enemies, including importantly the apes in Plant Man's stage. So this route prioritizes a much better arsenal for a later gain of the Jet Adaptor. Mega Man 7:Cloud Man → Junk → Freeze → Burst → Slash → Spring → Shade → TurboIt should be noted that Burst Man and Slash Man are BOTH weak against BOTH Freeze Cracker and Scorch Wheel. Slash Man being the only one with a weakness from the first four means an obvious opening, while Cloud Man is a very easy stage and boss for a very versatile weapon. Mega Man 8:Tengu → Clown → Grenade → Frost → Aqua → Sword → Search → AstroThere are two separate loops here, unlike with MM7.
Supercross circuit soundtrack. The first four is one loop, the second four is a different loop. Tengu Man has a very basic stage and has a fairly easy pattern.
Tornado Hold is awkward for some people but is an incredible source of damage alongside your Mega Buster. Aqua Man is the easiest of the second loop, but Astro Man is also very easy if you use Tornado Hold. Mega Man 9:Galaxy → Jewel → Plug → Tornado → Magma → Hornet → Splash → ConcreteAlternate - Splash → Concrete → Galaxy → Jewel → Plug → Tornado → Magma → HornetI sometimes start with Hornet first but you need to be quick on your feet to take him on first. It would make Splash Woman that much easier, though. Splash Woman gives Laser Trident, which is enormously useful to have in all of the stages, so it is very valuable to get early. Splash Woman is also not too difficult, though not nearly as easy as Galaxy Man is. Mega Man 10:Sheep → Pump → Solar → Chill → Nitro → Commando → Blade → Strike Mega Man & Bass:Cold → Burner → Pirate → Ground → Tengu → Magic → Astro → DynamoCold Man is one of the easiest, but with a weakness becomes the third easiest in the entire franchise after Metal Man and Wood Man (who each can get 1-hit-KO'd).
This is a standard weakness-order approach, and also gets Remote Mine early which is a good weapon. Mega Man: Dr. Wily's RevengeElec → Ice → Fire → Cut then Flash → Quick → Bubble → Heat Mega Man: Rockman World IIMetal → Air → Crash → Wood → Needle→ Magnet → Hard → Top Mega Man: Rockman World VMercury → Neptune → Mars → Venus → Pluto → Jupiter → Saturn → UranusThe weakness order is actually exceptionally wonky and includes the midfight Terra.
The order is Neptune Mars Venus Jupiter Saturn Mercury Pluto Uranus Terra Neptune. But the actual access doesn't let you go in this order. In any case, Mercury gives the Grab Buster which is excellent for lasting through some of the dangerous points in stages, as it heals you. Mercury is also an easy stage with an easy boss. Past that it's primarily following weakness order and substituting the Mega Arm when you don't have the specific weakness.
