Fight alongside your chosen faction, recruit and train your army, and forge alliances to help you destroy your common enemy. Full Review Siegelord ReviewBy Toan LayneSiegelord is a free-to-play (F2P) 2D browser-based game developed by 37 Games Entertainment, a video game company that specializes in developing and publishing browser-based games. The game was officially launched on December 19, 2014 and can be played from the game’s official website or through Facebook. The game is set in a medieval fantasy world where three warring factions are locked in a stalemate for control of the entire continent. Players are given the title of Lord and given a small city to lead, expand, and eventually recruit and amass powerful armies to conquer territories and help out their chosen faction in its bid for power. The game features real-time battles that allow players to use tactics and strategy to attack, counter-attack, and outwit their opponents.

The game’s graphics look quite good compared to other strategy games and the soundtrack fits the theme of the game well and even gives off a Game of Thrones-y vibe. That being said, the combat animations can become a bit repetitive the longer you play. New BeginningsAt the start of the game, players are asked to create characters and are given a choice from four pre-made characters. Whichever one the player picks will serve as their avatar and is purely cosmetic with no bearing on the game whatsoever. Players then go through a quick tutorial on the basics of constructing and upgrading buildings. After the tutorial, they are given the chance to pick between three different factions: the Kingdom of Albion, the Empire of Gorm, and the Nord Alliance. The Kingdom of Albion is a prosperous nation that flourished due to their knack for trading and commerce.

The Empire of Gorm's abundance of mineral resources have made them superior to other factions both in economic and military might. The Nords Alliance are made up of clans to the North that have endured the harshest of environments. Since their war with the Empire of Gorm, the once peaceful Nords now seek to dominate their neighbors.

The Start of an EmpireLike most strategy games, players start off with a small city which they must slowly improve and expand. This requires constant building and upgrading existing structures to improve the rate at which they gather resources and recruit units. The world map is unavailable until the player completes a set of quests and various tutorials including how the world map works. Once players gain access to the world map, they can then travel to a variety of locations, from small villages to large cities within their faction’s territory. Close to or at the borders of their territory, players will find cities occupied by enemy forces. These cities are easy to spot because of the fog surrounding them. Liberating a city lifts the fog and expands the faction territory.

This makes for a dynamic game experience where borders constantly shift as players conquer new cities or re-take lost ones and is actually one of the things that I liked about this game.Like any medieval city, a player’s city requires wood, food, and of course, gold, to function properly. Sawmills produce wood, Farms produce food, and Dwellings produce gold. Upgrading resource buildings increases the amount of resources that they can store. If you’re an active player, keeping levels down to focus on other buildings might be the way to go. However, you’ll eventually have to upgrade them to accommodate the unavoidable inflation of prices as you progress through the game. Players can seek the help of the gods if they’re a bit short on resources. Praying to the gods rewards players with extra resources.

They can, however, only pray a certain number of times per day after which players then need to pay Diamonds, the game’s premium currency. Commanding Your ArmyCombat in Siegelord uses a rocks, paper, and scissors type of system. Defense beats Attack, Attack beats Assault, and Assault beats Defense. Combat happens in waves and players are given a few seconds before each wave to pick their strategy. The last army standing wins the battle. Along with picking the right strategy, players can also recruit Generals to help turn the tide in their favor.

I guess I didn't realize that Nancy hadn't seen the letter in the hallway because I had seen it. I checked her journal and she had all letters noted except that one. Nancy drew the captive curse easter eggs youtube.

Generals offer an extra element of strategy to combat through their unique abilities which not only makes troops perform better in battle but can also give them bonuses such as increased attack or defense when fighting on certain terrain. Generals can be equipped with a variety of gear from armor, weapons, boots, gauntlets, rings, and mounts which can lend additional bonuses and skills.

Defeating enemy generals gives the player the ability to purchase and recruit them to their side. Players start the game with one General slot. Additional slots, up to maximum of 4, can be unlocked by researching which costs resources. Dominating the Playing FieldOnce players have finished the PVE campaign, they are able to engage in an all-out territorial war against players of the opposing factions. Thousands of players are constantly fighting for control of territory and resources and an one-man army just isn’t going to cut it in this game. Player must work together with their allies and faction-mates to implement strategies to try and outmaneuver enemy players.

Players may even be crowned king of their factions as they climb their way to the top of the player rankings.
