The halo comparison isn't accurateUnreal Gold was a singleplayer game with an optional multiplayer component. Unreal Tournament is a multiplayer game with no singleplayer component, you just have bots and a ladder. It's like comparing Half-Life to Overwatch. I technically does since you can play the game the way it was meant to be played alone. They also purposely made the ladder to be the campaign side of the game. It's gameplay identical to multiplayer portions of FPS games of the time but due to the inclusion of bots it's also possible to be played in single-player. Comparing Halo or Unreal to it isn't accurate though, you're right, but comparing UT to Overwatch, although it makes more sense gameplay wise isn't a good comparison since Overwatch doesn't have bots and therefore is impossible to properly play the game alone.
