The only issuse I had was reading letters, books, clues from a distance when playing on console version there should be a zoom feature always for these type of games when converted from PC version, for some reason developers never consider that feature when their developing their games. Other then that issue Obduction is a beautifully created puzzel adventure game even with the graphics being 3 years old. If you are unsure if Obduction is your type of game watch the YouTube reviews, and gameplay to help in your decision before buying. Obduction is challenging, has back tracking to solve puzzels, and you can get lost in it's large world.

Obduction doesn't hold your hand and it will frustrate you at times, but it captures the fun of Myst, and Riven and improves upon it with its beautiful environments to explore and challenging puzzels to solve. Gate on cart won't reopen.

I tried getting into Obduction on PC last year, but just couldn't. Now that it's on my platform of choice, I've been able to progress through its context puzzles and gorgeous worlds.If you don't know MYST, think The Witness, but with a much better variety of puzzles and worldbuilding. There's a greatly appreciated run toggle often missing from these kinds of 'walking simulators,' so that's a good plus. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because of just some peculiar issues. Draw distance is spotty, framerate feels stuttery, takes a while to pause the game, odd and annoying load times even in each 'dome.'

It's a perfectly-crafted adventure, like MYST and Riven before it, but a patch would be welcome, or failing that, it should run much better on next-gen consoles, patched or not. Played on XBox One X. While in other puzzle games the player usually moves from centralized puzzle to centralized puzzle, in Obduction, the puzzles are in a much more large-scale/overarching form. You could almost say this game is one giant puzzle with multiple layers. It makes the gameplay very satisfying as you connect more and more of the puzzle's elements, unlock new areas to explore, and unravel the really clever story.- Satisfying gameplay.- Outstanding world building. Very dreamlike and alien.- Great visuals, sound design, and music.Yes, the controls seem a little clunky on controller when interacting with some objects.

Yes, it gets a little framey sometimes, and yes, there's a lot of loading times. But everything else about this game is so good, that it doesn't really matter to me.Great game that more people need to play!
